The European Hotel Academy

Who we are

The European Hotel Academy was founded in the year 2006. It is a subsidiary of DFSR, one of the leading cultural exchange organizations in Germany since 1978. The Academy offers preparatory English-for-Hospitality courses with cultural workshops, restaurant & bar service training and reception training. After your training, we will place you in a hospitality job – guaranteed! We’ll lend you a helping hand to advance in your career – by giving you the ideal grounding for a hospitality job abroad or in your home country. Our extensive experience with applicants and employers has shown us what a difference good training makes. It will make your job more enjoyable and help you adapt culturally and professionally. Your job placement will be organized by the Academy during your stay.

Where we are

Superbly located in Heppenheim, between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, the Academy is the ideal place to start your language and job experience. Our facility is in a beautiful half-timbered house in the old part of town. Since the year 2000, this has been extended and organized into a lively meeting place. You will stay within walking distance of all facilities and public transport. We have modern classrooms and a large computer laboratory, a guest house with 25 beds and a restaurant with vaulted ceiling and beer garden. All of this is used year-around by the students of the Academy. Most of our students are German, but we also have students from Spain, Austria, Norway, Canada, Australia and other countries. Assistance & Support for you

We firmly believe in giving our students all the support they need before, during and after their course. Before the placements and during your course in Germany, we will have daily counselling meetings to update you on what’s happening in terms of job offers, telephone interviews, contracts and other placement-related issues. During your job placement we will be there for you should you have any questions or run into problems, or if you just want to say “Hi”. After your job placement you may want to contact us with feedback about your stay, or require help with your tax returns or you might wish to be placed a second time in a different hotel.
